Programme / Activity Manager

Are you our next Programme and Activity Manager?
Following an internal promotion we are looking to recruit a dynamic and capable person to take the lead on developing our activity programme, activity staffing and customer liaison.

Location: Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £14 – £17k Package

Walesby Forest is set in 250 acres of Sherwood Forest and provides opportunities for young people to develop in a safe and secure environment. Over 75,000 children benefit from coming to the centre annually, giving opportunities to children of all ages to access outdoor education and adventure activities.

As part of our senior management team, you will be qualified to NVQ level 3 or similar in experience in Sport / Activity Leadership. You will have achieved competence and qualifications in a range of NGBs and preferably have the ability to train or assess on a range of outdoor adventure activities. With experience of managing instructors and a track record of delivering quality and safe activities you will also need to be self motivated with a strong desire to succeed. You will have good command of timetabling and the allocation of resources to maximise efficiencies and be able to work under pressure.

Experience of working or volunteering with Scouts, Guides or young people will be an advantage, but is not essential. However more importantly the capacity to manage and deliver high quality instructor training programmes is essential. You will need plenty of energy, diplomacy and the ability to relate and confidently communicate with a wide range of clients.
