Cherrywood is a relatively new campsite, located to the west
of Thurrock. It has easy access from the M25 and Dartford
river crossing, and to Lakeside shopping centre.
Cherrywood is ideal for bivouac practice and orienteering.
The site is made up of two camping areas: one of five acres,
and one of one acre in a clearing in the woods with a Log
cabin. The Log cabin sleeps 10 youths plus 4 adults, and has
catering facilities for 24. The clearing in the woods has
room for 6 patrol tents, and can be used together with the
Log cabin.
