Basic site set in the forest of Ashclyst.
Clay soil- can be sticky when wet but soon drys. Water comes
from a bore hole via electric pump run off a diesel
generator. electric lighting / 240v sockets available in
cottage & toilet block. Cottage available as day room for
cooking/ eating only.
Outside toilet block (M&F). One shower (cold only at present
but hoping to make hot from March 2011!!)
5 fields with 2 open barns that can be used for wet weather
activity. Max capacity 200 campers. Camp fees under review
currently but likely to be £2 p/h for all scouts & guides
per night from March 2011. Non - Scouting/ Guiding groups to
be £5 p/h per night from March 2011.
Site closes 30/11/2010 & re-opens from 1/3/2011 right thru'
to 30/11/2011.
